Starting from a young age, visual arts have always been an undeniable point of interest for me. At first learning through observation and practice, my artistic evolution pushed me to experiment with many different mediums (painting, sculpting, pastels…), but graphite pencils would remain my primary source of interest. In 2010, I took up drawing classes with an instructor who would bring my compositions to new heights, and continuous learning to this day continues to transform and improve my art.
Graphite pencils and Prismacolor Premier colored pencils are presently the main tools I use to create my works. I like to explore multiple themes, and I enjoy the challenge of creating new and original ideas, as well as using varying techniques to capture different textures and moods. I have a particular affinity for figurative art and the representation of the human body. I often try to imagine a story that goes behind the pictures I create, and it is always fascinating to hear people’s different interpretations of the end result.
More and more, I am now striving to capture the emotions of my subjects or express specific feelings, desires or states of mind to create a deeper connection with the viewer.
